highlights of best ecchi harem anime

I don’t know about you guys but harem anime is my go-to anime whenever I want to watch something casual. And to top it off, if it’s ecchi then there’s nothing more I need.

But the problem nowadays is that it is hard to find one good Ecchi Harem Anime that’s worth the watch. I don’t want to brag but I am quite knowledgeable when it comes to anime stuff. So in this post, I’ll be sharing with you a list of the 20 Best Ecchi Harem Animes that every fanservice anime lover must give a try..

Although there’s a good chance you might have seen quite a few of them already but even if you get one good recommendation from here then my whole effort of writing this post is worth it.

Lazy to read, watch this blog as video

1. Highschool DxD

  • Logline: Issei is a part of a school club comprised of demons and all of them are very beautiful girls.
  • Year: 2012
  • Anime Vibe: Comedy
  • Studio: TNK

No wonder if you search for ecchi harem anime and google shows you results for High school DxD. It is perfect because Highschool DxD is undoubtedly the best ecchi harem anime ever made.

An excellent story, stunning character dramatization, and plenty of fan service hold the show together.

Summary

The story follows a pervy High School student named Issei Hyoudou. Issei is desperate to sleep with girls and fantasize about the idea of owning his harem someday.

His pervy obsessions turn his life upside down. On his first date with a girl, he gets deceived and killed brutally as the girl turned out a vicious fallen angel.

He gets a second chance to live as a demon when a beautiful devil master revives him as his servant.

2. Heaven’s Lost Property

  • Logline: Tomoki Sakurai is shaken by surprise when a winged angel falls from the sky and starts calling him master.
  • Year: 2007
  • Anime Vibe: Fantasy
  • Studio: AIC A.S.T.A

I often used to judge a show by the quantity of harem in it but soon realized that a solid story is what creates linking for a show, not the harem elements.

That being said, Heaven’s Lost Property is a superb show with a great story with a playful fan service narrative. The show sticks to its genre and never misses a chance to highlight the crux of the anime.

Summary

Adapted from the manga series Sora no Otoshimono, this anime follows the tale of a teenage boy named Tomoki Sakurai. Like you must have guessed Tomoki being the lead, is a lecherous person.

Tomoki is a follower of pacifism. His fanciful dreams of meeting an angel come to life when a winged female creature named Ikaros landed in front of him. Suffering from amnesia, she declares Tomoki as his master.

Tomoki being a pervert take charge of Ikaros’s business with both shock and pleasure. As the story progresses more beings like Ikaros, known as “Angeloids”, start coming to earth, contributing to the excitement of the plot.

3. Haganai | Boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai

  • Logline: A loner teenager invites like-minded people to his club in the hope of making some friends.
  • Year: 2011
  • Anime Vibe: Comedy
  • Studio: AIC

Haganai is a highly creative effort to present a “How to Make Friends” themed show with a subtility of ecchi and comedy. Storywise, this is clearly not the best show on the list. A humane plot, refined character development, and the right balance of fanservice with comedy make this show an enjoyable one.

Summary

Originally titled Boku wa Tomodachi ga sukunai (meaning I don’t have many friends) is a story of a teenage boy named Kodaka Hasegawa.

Upon getting transferred to a new school Kodaka’s blond hair and intimating expressions get him labeled a troublemaker.

Kodaka feels lonely and can’t make any friends until one day he finds a fellow girl who matched his situation.

After sharing their lonely high school stories both realize that there must be many people like them who aren’t able to fit in the society.

Finally, they decide to open The Neighbors Club. A place for loners to interact with like-minded people and make friends.

4. We Never Learn | Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai

  • Logline:  A mediocre high school senior has to teach school geniuses in their weakest subjects.
  • Year: 2019
  • Anime Vibe: Comedy
  • Studio: Silver, Arvo Animation

This is one of the anime I can recommend to anyone. Even if you aren’t into harem or ecchi We Never Learn is a comical tragedy sewed into a harem that provides sheer entertainment in every episode. It’s a show with plenty of nonveg jokes, and hilarious comedy.

Summary

Nariyuki Yuiga is a hard-working high school student who has received a scholarship for his university studies.

5. Sekirei

  • Logline:  Failing college entrance twice, Minato regains willpower after learning about his superhuman abilities.
  • Year: 2008
  • Anime Vibe: Comedy
  • Studio: Seven Arcs

For the lovers of Harem, Ecchi, and fanservice, Sekirei is no disappointment. Sekirei has everything to be called a perfect harem anime. Excessive ecchi scenes, and a lot of beautiful anime women. This however doesn’t mean that the show compromise on its plot. Let’s discuss the plot summary.

Summary

Minato is a high school graduate who has failed to make it to college and lives in misery. Like many other ecchi harem animes, Minato’s life is thrilled when a beautiful woman falls from the sky and lands in front of him.

Musubi, the woman, is discovered to be a mysterious being called Sekirei. She makes Minato realize his power as an Ashikabi, a rare gene that awakens the power within a Sekirei when coming to its close contact(you guessed that right).

Next up on the list, we have a serious anime show that involves magic and romance. Trinity Seven is tied together with a powerful story, influential characters, and continuous suspense. The seriousness of the plot doesn’t let the show negotiate on the ecchi harem parts of the story and boldly depicts all harem scenes.

Summary

Arata Kasuga and Hijiri Kasuga are cousins and childhood friends who live in a small town.

A weird incident, known as the breakdown phenomenon causes massive destruction in Arata Kasuga’s town and made many inhabitants, including Hijiri disappear.

  • Logline: Kurusu is surrounded by women of different species who are desperate to make love with him.
  • Year: 2015
  • Anime Vibe: Romance
  • Studio: Lerche

This is a show you need to see to believe. Busty aliens girls falling for an average-looking human is a common ecchi harem setup but Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou pushes the boundaries of perviness. There is no point in complaining about ecchi elements if you are a true male.

Summary

Presenting an alternate reality where the government has allowed mystic beings to live in disguise with humans.

These mystic beings are none other than smoking hot women who chase a specific gene of human.

I Can’t Play H is Studio Deen’s answer to- what’s a similar show like High School Dxd. Although it will be absurd to compare these shows “I can’t play H” is still a fun to watch show for an ecchi anime lover.

Summary

Ryosuke Kaga is a student who has earned a reputation of a pervert. His foolishness lands him into a serious mess when he agrees to trade his essence with a grim reaper.

Ryosuke’s energy is unwittingly powered by his dirty desires. This puts the shinigami, Lisara under a constant male gaze of Ryosuke’s desires.

13. Shuffle

  • Logline: Rin finds himself saught after a variety of girls.
  • Year: 2003
  • Anime Vibe: Fantasy
  • Studio: Asread

Shuffle is a perfect example of what ecchi harem shows are about. I give special priority to shows what comes with any surprising depth in their story. Shuffle, for example, meets all criteria of a comical ecchi harem anime but the profound character profundity makes it stand apart from other animes.

Summary

This anime is set up in a fictional region called where all humans, demons, and gods live together in harmony.

The story follows a 17-year-old orphaned human boy Rin who lives with his friend since he lost his parents. His life changes when families of both, king of demons and king of gods become his immediate neighbors.

The daughters of both families are in love with Rin and now it’s for him to decide to choose between the demons or the gods.

  • Year: 2010
  • Anime Vibe: Fantasy
  • Studio: Zexcs

Another fanservice and harem masterpiece we must talk about is Omamori Himari. A short series with a decent story and adult action that goes off the charts. If you are motivated more by attractive-looking female figures than a deep story then this is surely your next fanservice harem watch.

Summary

The only sign left with Yuto Amakawa of his family is a rare and mysterious amulet given to him by his grandmother.

When Yuto turns 16 he meets a cat demon samurai named Himari she recognizes the amulet as part of the demon slayer family.

16. DearS

  • Logline: What happens when a beautiful big breasted alien girl falls for an unfriendly average-looking boy?
  • Year: 2004
  • Anime Vibe: Comedy
  • Studio: feel

A look-alike ecchi harem anime story but a comical relief makes it a show worth watching. If you are looking for a story-driven anime show I wouldn’t recommend this to you. Although if you seek to satisfy your dirty fantasies this series can prove to be a perfect watch

  • Logline: A tragic story of Rito Yuki who unexpectedly meets a runaway beautiful alien girl.
  • Year: 2006

To Love Ru is undoubtedly the best ecchi harem anime among the anime classics. Started back in 2006 it presents an ecchi plot that would beat off many new age harem anime. One main point that made me add this anime to this list is that being an ecchi anime it puts comical punches before fan service that adds to the liveliness of the show.
