20 Best NSFW Animes of All Time

I have to admit that I was not aware of the term ‘NSFW’ and came to know about it quite recently. After only then that I found out a thing called NSFW Animes.

To all the people who are still unaware of what NSFW is, let me explain:

20. Kiss x Sis

• Logline: Keita finds himself caught up in the chaotic care of a harem.

Kiss x Sis is an anime that deals with a lot of explicit material, most of which is incest. 

While most shows use the incest theme as a complementary element to the main storyline, Kiss x Sis uses this as the main plot of the show.

Stupid or Surprising whatever it may sound, the final result we have in 12 episodes is too hard to ignore in the NSFW category. 

Synopsis

Keita is an innocent junior high school student. When his mother died his father married another woman. This situation unexpectedly gave Keita two beautiful step-sisters Ako and Riko. 

Ako and Riko are opposite personalities but share a similar liking for their stepbrother. As Keita enters high school he discovers that his sisters aren’t the only women lusting for him.

If you search for its reviews on the internet, you may not be pleased to watch it. It is stupidly criticized for its ecchi comedy plot. Come on! you want a show with an epic storyline? you shouldn’t have landed on this page in the first place. 

On top of that most ecchi romantic comedy follows nearly the same looking plot. Over everything else, this show is still unpredictable and ranks higher on my personal favorite list of romantic comedy anime. 

Synopsis

One day Yuuhi Katagiri decides to walk home from school alone. Unfortunately, this decision lands her in serious trouble when she finds herself surrounded by evil boys. 

Junichi Nagase, famously known as the “Geno Killer” sees Yuuhi in trouble and comes to save her. When Yuuhi asks for his name to thank him, Junichi just walks away. Little did Junichi knew that he had just rescued his future wife. 

Where to watch Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka?

Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka is one of the few anime shows that can be streamed on Amazon Prime.

18. Samurai Bride

• Logline: Adventures and pervy life of a young Samurai.

Samurai Bride is your typical harem anime with a substantial amount of perviness. You’ll find the same cliche scenes and topes that you get from any other ecchi harem anime. 

But despite not being unique, this NSFW anime still provides you with decent entertainment and you can watch it to kill your time.

Synopsis

Young samurai Muneakira Yagyuu joins the prestigious academic school. Upon arriving at the academy, a mysterious girl named Juubei appears from the sky and suddenly kisses Muneakira. 

With his kiss, she awakens an unknown power that protects them. Entangled by fate Muneakira must the secret behind the kiss that awakened Juubei’s power in order to protect his country.

17. Recently, My Sister is Unusual

• Logline: Mitsuki is possed by a ghost who is madly in love with her stepbrother.

Any anime with the plot of incest is definitely not a good idea to watch in front of other people. The story is quite dumb which makes it fun to watch. But other than that it has not much to offer.

This anime is not something that I’ll encourage you to watch but if you want to give it a shot, then go ahead.

Synopsis

Mitsuki and Yuuya become step-siblings when their parents marry. Mitsuki is possessed by a ghost of a girl named Hiyuri and she’s madly in love with Yuuya. 

In order to move to the afterlife, she has to consummate with Yuuya using Mitsuki’s body. But there’s a problem, Mitsuki is tsundere with a chastity belt on.

16. School Days

• Logline: Story of high schoolers going through love and heartbreaks.

It is one of those anime that gets mixed reactions from its viewers. You’ll either like or hate it completely. As for me, I highly disliked the main character but that’s just me. As for the theme of this anime, it is definitely NSF, the show gets pervier as it progresses but that’s not its highlight, it is the story itself.

Synopsis

Makoto is a high schooler who has a crush on a beautiful classmate named Kotonoha. When one of his other classmates Sekai finds about his crush, she decides to help Makoto to pursue Kotonoha.

But in this process, she slowly falls in love with Makoto and a weird love triangle is formed that leads to other events.

15. So, I Can’t Play H!

• Logline: Ryosuke Kaga makes a deal with a hot goddess of death.
• Year: 2012

It is one of the only few ecchi NSFW anime that has a good plot. Although it’s still a mediocre level show. But what you expect from an anime of this kind, it delivers fully. 

The anime is funny, the characters are likable and the ecchiness is on the next level. Definitely worth watching if you like ecchi animes.

Synopsis

Ryosuke Kaga is a perverted high school boy who one day comes across a hot girl who is actually a Shinigami, Goddess of death. In order to stay on Earth, she needs a source of power, so she forms a contract with Ryosuke. 

And the power she requires is the erotic energy of Ryosuke which he has in plenty. Together they fight various evil beings with the power of erotism.

Although I found that this anime is being offered by many pirated sites, I suggest you ignore them and stream it on licensed partner Crunchyroll. However, you might not still be able to stream it for free due to regional differences.

14. Corpse Party

• Logline: Trapped in an alternate dimension with ghosts, 9 teenagers struggle for survival.
• Year: 2013
• Genre: Mystery, Horror, Supernatural

As the name of the anime suggests, this anime is as dark as it can get. The show is very disturbing and overly gory, definitely not for the faint-hearted.

It is a short 4 episode mini-series that you can’t watch in a public setting because of its heavy graphic imagery. If you don’t like shows that present excessive violence and mutilations then don’t watch this NSFW anime.

Synopsis

A group of 9 high schoolers gets trapped in an alternate dimension while trying to do a stupid charm. But they are not alone because the dimensions are filled with ghosts who are eager for a hunt.

It’s a battle for survival for these teenagers otherwise they’ll become part of this dimension as spirits and be damned forever.

13. Highschool Of The Dead

• Logline: The story follows a bunch of high school kids surviving in the middle of a zombie outbreak.

An ecchi action masterpiece by Madhouse- High school of the Dead is based upon the western theme of a zombie apocalypse. 11 years after its release, the show is still followed vastly but couldn’t get a second season because of the unfortunate passing of the manga writer. 

Synopsis

The story revolves around Takashi Kimuro, a high school student who on one fine day notices a person biting and eating a school staffer. Moments after that the whole school falls into chaos as more and more students start turning into zombies.

Takashi along with other students sets on a treacherous journey of survival and to find their family members in a zombie apocalypse.

12. Ah My Buddha

• Logline: Ikkou turns into a super-monk when he sees a girl naked and performs massive exorcisms.

Probably one of the most controversial anime on this list. The anime has portrayed the religion of Buddhism in a very ecchi manner. 

On top of that, it has sexualized the monks and nuns who are considered very pure and kind. All in all, Ah My Buhhda is a strictly NSFW anime that you can not watch with other people comfortably.

Synopsis

Satonaka Ikkou is a young boy training to be a monk at a Buddhist Temple. There he is surrounded by many beautiful females training to be a priestess. 

Ikkou discovers that whenever he sees a woman naked he turns into a super-monk and gets the power to perform massive exorcisms.

11. Golden Boy

• Logline: A story of a macho dude.

Every title I mention here checks your level of perviness or open-mindedness you may say. Golden Boy is a classic anime series from the 90s. 

Comedy, Romance, Intimate scenes, ecchi story, it has every other element that makes this anime not safe to watch at work. Don’t have high expectations from this because it a short anime with just 10 episodes. Whatever it has to present you wouldn’t come as a disappointment. 

Synopsis

The plot centers on Kintarau Ooe, a twenty-five-year college dropout who thinks he can learn more about life on his own than at college. Most of his time is spent daydreaming about girls. He has a macho personality that makes him a Golden boy in the eyes of pretty ladies. 

The show doesn’t function on a mainstream plot but the chronicles of Kintarau hopping through different part-time jobs and his “accidents” with the ladies there.

10. Shigurui

• Logline: Two fighters will go to any length to prove their strength and capabilities.
• Year: 2007
• Genre: Action, Historical
• Studios: Madhouse

In my opinion, it is not only the nudity and profanity that make an NSFW anime. Sometimes you can’t watch extremely gory and violent anime in public too. 

And I am not saying that this anime does not have nudity. You’ll get to see plenty of sexual predatory in every episode. 

But unlike most of the animes on this list, Shigurui’s storyline is also very exceptional. I highly recommend you to try this one.

Synopsis

In the Edo era of peace, there is a bloody tournament where warriors across the country participate to prove their strength.

Two disciples of Iwamoto Kogan, also known as Japan’s greatest swordsman are also participating to become the champion. 

One-armed Fujiki Gennosuke and blind Irako Seigen fight each other in a match to decide who’s the true successor of Iwamoto’s school.

9. Freezing

• Logline: Kazuya partners up with a powerful girl at the academy to fight against extraterrestrial beings called ‘Novas’.

NSFW anime like Freezing is my favorite kind of pass time. Although the plot of aliens attacking the world is overused in the animes, Freezing provides quite a compelling story merged with over-the-top fan service.

I am not saying, it the best anime out there but one thing is for sure that you’ll not be disappointed after watching it.

Synopsis

The world is attacked and destroyed by extraterrestrial beings called ‘Novas’. Kazuya is a student at a military academy that teaches young kids to fight against Novas.

In the academy, he meets Satellizer el Bridget—a powerful girl known as the “Untouchable Queen”. Both form a strange relationship and decides to partner together.

Similar to Shigurui, Freezing is also available on Funimation but only for people living in America.

8. Yosuga no Sora

• Logline: Story of orphan siblings bashing through the walls of love and affair.
• Year: 2010
• Genre: Drama, Ecchi, Harem, Romance

I started watching Yosuga no Sora out of my guilty pleasure, hoping to be another soft hantai series. Boy, it did surprise me! There is no denying the fact that there are many sex scenes in the series. 

The fascinating element is that every ecchi moment in the anime comes with thoughtful reasoning of what’s right and what’s wrong.

 At first glance, it appears to be another ecchi harem anime but deep down it functions on logical grounds where protagonists are constantly figuring out the right and the wrong. 

Synopsis

After the demise of their parents, twins Haruka and Sora start a new life at their grandfather’s house. 

The siblings feel lonely and afraid about the future. During this time of oppression, they meet childhood friends who live nearby their grandfather’s house.

The story goes on narrating the chronicles of Haruka’s four love affairs. These four affairs form four different stories of each kind.

Yosuga no Sora is a Highly NSFW anime that you wouldn’t find on major OTT platforms. You might just need to stream it through a third-party website.

7. Elfen Lied

• Logline: Lucy is a mutant who escapes an experiment lab leaving behind bloodshed and hostility.

• Genre: Horror, Supernatural

There can’t be a discussion about NSFW anime without mentioning Elfen Lied. This anime is an exigent show comprising bloodshed, nudity, cruelty all in one place.  

It is an epic masterpiece for those who are interested in the storyline and for others it may be another source of pervy fulfillment. Whichever side you may be on, Elfen Lied wouldn’t let you down on both ends. 

Synopsis 

The plot revolves around “Diclonius” a newfound human species with numerous differences. Lucy, one of the mutants is subject to government experimentation. 

However, things start to escalate when Lucy uses her powers to escape and cause havoc in the experiment faculty. During her escape, she gets wounded herself and loses consciousness. 

On waking up she is discovered that she is given shelter by two cousins named Kouta and Yuka. But this random act of kindness came at a cost for the cousins when the government learns about Lucy’s escape.

6. B Gata H Kei

• Logline: Yamada is a flirtatious girl who aims to have sex with 100 different men before she finishes high school.
• Year: 2010
• Genre: Comedy, Ecchi, harem

To all the adult anime enthusiasts over there, B Gata H Kei is a toast you must enjoy once in a lifetime. 

This anime isn’t for anyone, Watch it only if your level of perviness is beyond a normal limit because it’s nothing but just sex. The fanservice is as intense as it can be so PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK. The Logline written above might be enough to tell you this.  

Synopsis

Yamada is another beautiful anime girl having a curvaceous figure and long brown hair. She looks innocent but behind her naive-looking personality is a pervy and lustful soul who has a goal of making out with 100 different men before she finished high school. 

Looking at her, these targets may seem achievable for her at first but her insecurities of being a virgin get her way. To get over this situation she decides to lose her virginity to a nerdy otaku Takashi Kosuda.

5. Gantz

• Logline: Two friends die in an accident but are forced to fight evil beings in the afterlife.

Gantz is another NSFW anime filled with gore, violence, nudity, and sexual abuse. Now it depends upon your taste whether you’ll like it or not. Gantz doesn’t hold back in any way from showing you the gruesome reality of humanity. 

There are scenes in the anime that are highly disturbing and gruesome. This show is not for everybody and you watch it at your own discretion.

Synopsis

While trying to save a drunk guy from a subway train, Kei Kurono and his friend get hit by the train and dies. But the two find themselves among other dead people who are chosen to play a game called Gantz.

They are tasked to fight alien species and robotic monsters and the stakes are very high.

4. High School DxD

• Logline: Issei is a part of a school club comprised of demons and all of them are very beautiful girls.
• Year: 2012

Ranking the charts of best ecchi harem anime, High School DxD is another anime that might not be the best choice to watch in public.

An excellent story, stunning character dramatization, and plenty of fan service hold the show together. 

Synopsis

The story follows a pervy High School student named Issei Hyoudou. Issei is desperate to sleep with girls and fantasize about the idea of owning his harem someday. 

His pervy obsessions turn his life upside down. On his first date with a girl, he gets deceived and killed brutally as the girl turned out a vicious fallen angel.

He gets a second chance to live as a demon when a beautiful devil master revives him as his servant.

3. Domestic Girlfriend

• Logline: A love triangle between step-siblings.
• Year: 2019
• Genre: Drama, Romance

Animes like these are better to watch alone. Because the premise of the story revolves around a taboo topic and there’s a high chance of people judging or making fun of you for watching such stuff.

As for this NSFW anime, it has a fairly interesting story, some heartfelt moments, and good sexual tension. 

Synopsis

Natsuo is a high school student who has a crush on his teacher Hina. One day he meets a teen girl named Rui and they both hook up and part ways.

But things get all mixed up when later Natsuo finds out that his father is marrying another woman and Hina and Rui are her daughters. Thus making the three of them step-siblings.

2. Prison School

• Logline: After getting caught breaking school administration rules only five boys of the Hachimitsu Academy are left to join prison school to learn mannerisms.

Based on a Japanese Manga of the same name Prison School is another anime that might destroy your mental peace at work. The show became more famous in America than Japan itself, all thanks to oppressive characters like Meiko. 

Synopsis

Hachimitsu Private Academy used to be an all-girls school but a recent policy change makes boys eligible to enroll in the school. 

To no surprise, only five boys were admitted among 1000 girls in the first semester after the policy change. However, this isn’t the only thing that came as a surprise to the boys. The school has strict rules that punish students even for the smallest of mistakes.

The mischievous mind of boys leads them to take a sneak peek into the girls bathing area. Their plan fails and they end up getting caught by the school authority. 

Now they have two options, either getting expelled from the school or join prison school for a month under the supervision of a busty and badass female named Meiko.

Leading the list of “not safe for work anime” is Redo of Healer. This anime is undoubtedly one of the most controversial anime of 2021. 

Just 1 episode into the show, and I was startled by the edgy, disturbing, fetishist, and revengeful premise of the show. 

Redo of Healer operates between the thin line of hentai, gore, isekai, and harem. All these compositions make it the top nswf anime ever made.

Synopsis

Keyaru is a magical healer. He is deprived of the knowledge of his true powers. He is brutally exploited and sexually abused by his fellows. 

When he discovers the wonders of his powers, he unleashes a magical spell that would take him four years back in time.
