Akko is enthusiastic about studying magic, but she is also clumsy and not very bright. One day in class, Akko was put into a difficult situation when she failed to control one of her spells.

It was then that she made her wish with Shiny Chariot–to someday meet her idol and receive her guidance. The next day, Chariot appears in person at their school! This gave Akko more motivation in studying magic with passion!

It tells the story of high school student Mirai Kuriyama who comes from a clan of hunters that kill bad spirits. Mirai’s life changes when she meets Akihito Kanbara, a half-human and half-spirit boy who helps lost spirits pass on to be reincarnated while living in the human world.

Together they have to deal with dark spirits, their own personal difficulties, and interpersonal relationships with each other and those around them.

4. Mushishi

  • Logline: A traveling Mushi master who visits villages to solve the strange occurrences caused by Mushi

Mushishi is a series of episodic anime based on the manga by Yuki Urushibara. There are only 26 episodes in total so you can power through it in a day or two, but I recommend giving yourself time to savor each episode’s moody atmosphere and beautifully rendered scenes since they’re what make this show so aesthetic.

Synopsis

Mushi are the most basic spiritual entities in the Mushishi world. They exist in countless forms and inhabit all matter, including animals and plants. Mushi feeds on yōkai, but they also have a symbiotic relationship with humans when it comes to their emotional state. 

If someone is happy, one of their emotions will be enough to feed a Mushi for a while. But if a person is lonely or sad, a human can turn into a Mushi’s primary prey.

The story follows Ginko, a Mushi master, as he travels through Japan to investigate various incidents involving Mushi and attempts to find people who can see them.

When I started watching the anime Land of the Lustrous, I expected an action-packed show with little substance. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was not just the story that had more depth than anticipated but the animations were also of the highest quality

Land Of The Lustrous is an anime series that explores the struggles and triumphs of the inhabitants of a world called “Houseki no Kuni” (literally meaning “the country of jewelry”), which is populated by sentient gemstone-like beings known as “The Lustrous”

Each Lustrous has an affinity for one element, with some being more naturally inclined towards some aspects than others, but all are fundamentally strong against their opposing element. They can also absorb other minerals into their bodies to gain new abilities or strengthen existing ones. However, if their core crystal is shattered, they will die. 

It follows the story of protagonist Phosphophyllite, who is assigned to guard Jadetuff, a family member he serves, from danger. Phosphophyllite soon realizes that his seemingly peaceful world is not what it seems to be at first glance.

A demon with bits of human abilities still left in her. Undoubtedly, Tanjiro is all set to help his sister be a human again and will turn into a demon slayer to redress this unfortunate incident.
