Ahead of the premiere of the second season of the TV anime series “Jujutsu Kaisen”, titled the “Cursed Womb: Death Painting” arc, the first scene cuts and synopsis of the 25th episode (first episode of the second season) have been released.

“Jujutsu Kaisen” is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018. It follows the story of Yuji Itadori, a high school student who enters the world of battles revolving around curses after a powerful cursed object is unsealed, creating a dark fantasy setting.
The manga has surpassed 80 million copies in circulation. The anime series aired from October 2020 to March 2021 and gained popularity. It was later adapted into a theatrical anime film in December 2021, with the second season of the TV anime set to premiere in July 2023.
The “Cursed Womb: Death Painting” arc will depict the prologue of the story of Gojo and Yuta, who will later be known as the strongest jujutsu sorcerer and the worst curse user, respectively, during their high school days. The second season will consist of two consecutive cours (seasons), starting with the “Cursed Womb: Death Painting” arc, followed by the “Shibuya Incident” arc, which takes place in Shibuya on October 31st, during the bustling Halloween festivities.
Episode 25, titled “Cursed Womb,” follows the story of the jujutsu sorcerers Kanna and Meimei, who are dispatched to investigate a haunted mansion with a high number of missing persons. As they infiltrate the mansion and become aware of the curse’s barrier technique, they take action to break the barrier. However, the building suddenly starts to collapse. At that moment, as they are thrown into the air, someone appears before them. The year is 2006. The irreparable youth of the two strongest individuals begins.
