Fans of Kimetsu no Yaiba are overjoyed as a new teaser visual for the upcoming TV animation “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Pillar Training Hen” was released, featuring the beloved character Minami Fushikawa.
The teaser visual, illustrated by character designer Akira Matsushima, showcases five pillars of the Demon Slayers: Yoshiyuki Tomioka, the water pillar; Shinobu Kocho, the insect pillar; Ko Iguro, the snake pillar; Banai, and Kazebashira/Minami Fushikawa. The vibrant and eye-catching artwork instantly captured the attention of fans.
In addition to the group visual, individual visuals of each pillar were also unveiled. Among them, Fushikawa’s visual drew particular excitement, with fans expressing their admiration for the character. Comments flooded in, praising Fushikawa’s portrayal as a “gentle brother” and expressing how their “favorability” towards the character had soared.
“Kimetsu no Yaiba” is an immensely popular series based on the manga of the same name, which was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from February 2016 to May 2020. With over 150 million copies sold, it has captivated audiences with its thrilling story set in a world inhabited by man-eating demons during the Taisho period. The protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado, seeks vengeance for his family’s demise by joining the Demon Slayer Corps and embarking on a perilous journey alongside his demon-turned-sister, Nezuko.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2019 and achieved tremendous success, while the movie “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinite Train Edition,” released in October 2020, became a box office sensation, grossing over 40 billion yen domestically. The eagerly anticipated second season, “Yukaku-hen,” will continue from December 2021, followed by the third season, “Swordsmith’s Village Edition,” which premiered in April 2023.
The “Pillar Training” episode, adapted from volumes 15 to 16 of the original manga, will showcase Tanjiro and his companions undergoing intense training with the elite swordsmen and pillars of the Demon Slayer Corps to enhance their skills and become even stronger.
With the release of the captivating teaser visual, fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the new season, eager to witness the thrilling adventures and character development that lie ahead in “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Pillar Training Hen.”
