Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen focuses on a flashback to Gojo and Geto's past when they were students at Jujutsu High.Itadori Yuji is not part of this arc's storyline as it predates his journey as a Jujutsu sorcerer.
In "Gojo's Past" arc, Itadori was just a regular middle school student, unaware of Jujutsu sorcery.Itadori won't appear in this arc but will return for the action-packed Shibuya Incident arc.
The Star Plasma Vessel's life is at risk in this action-packed season, testing Gojo and Suguru's limitsHowever, Itadori's absence should be noted, as this story arc is set before he became a Jujutsu sorcerer.
